Born and raised in Singapore, travelled around for many years, and in later years lived in Thailand for over a decade. Taught in both public and private schools in Singapore, have been a tutor with the University of Tasmania - School of Sociology and Social Work, and School of Asian Studies and Languages; also taught in China, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, and now Cambodia. Have been an English (and Humanities) teacher for more than 24 years; held roles such as Head, English and Literature Department; Head, Humanities Department; Discipline Master; Internal Examination Officer; and, SAEB Liaison Officer.
