Ms Elizabeth Tay

Ms Elizabeth Tay has more than 20 years of experience working in various educational institutions in Singapore. Her first degree was a Bachelor of Business Administration (Merit) conferred by the National University of Singapore. She went on to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education, Singapore and achieved a Distinction. She was then awarded the MOE (Singapore) Postgraduate Scholarship where she obtained her Master in Education in Curriculum and Teaching; jointly awarded by Nanyang Technological University and University of Melbourne. She has served in the middle management of three schools, leading different portfolios: Curriculum Innovation, School Staff Development and English. She has also taught in the Gifted Education Program and was with the Curriculum Planning and Development Division of MOE, Singapore. Elizabeth believes that teaching should be tailored to the unique learning style of each student and recognises the 'heart-work' that each teacher brings to their classroom.
